Hi
Odd one this - recent versions of SmartStart (have tried 6.40 and 7.10) won't recognize that I have an ML530 (the Server Model field of the 'My Proliant Server' is blank) and hence won't allow me to use assisted setup.
HOWEVER, when I run the server diagnostics utility under maintenance within SmartStart it has no problem recognizing that I have an ML530.
For ref I have P19 ROM with latest firmware (18 Dec 2002) and a SmartArray 5300 with the latest firmware (updated today off 7.10 Firmware CD)
Any ideas?
Thanks
David

Solution
The last supported version of the SmartStart on the ML530 is 5.5. You would need to get a 5.5 cd or do a manual install. You can run the SSCS 6.x and above on this server in the OS environment.
ThereтАЩs your problem!!! This thing is set to EVIL!
