ML530 and 20/40 Gb DAT drive solution

We have recently bought a Proliant ML530 but couldn't get the 20/40Gb DAT drive (SDT-10000) to work with the 4MMDAT.SYS device out-of-the-box.
We wanted to use Veritas BackupExec so we went to the Veritas site and they had a driver for a variety of DAT drives including the SDT-10000.
We downloaded BNTIDRV.EXE and installed the SONY device driver SONYSDX.SYS, removed 4MMDAT.SYS and rebooted. NT then detected the device correctly and BackupExec happily connected to it and backed up and restored data.
To get BNTIDRV.EXE go to http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/229268.htm and download it. Follow the instructions on this page to get your SDT-10000 recognised.
