ML570 G1 CPU Operational Temp Ranges

What are accepatable temperature ranges for 700mhz/100mhz/1mb cpus to run at? Idle and under load?

I do have the agents installed on Windows 2000 Server. Currently the fours are running about 42Cish idle and about 49Cish under heavy load. The threshold is 100C which seems a little high to me??!?!?!?!

Also the system board sensors are about 37Cish. Does that seem 'OK'?

Keep in mind that the sensor thresholds are individually calibrated based on the:

a. specification of the component(s) being protected
b. proximity of the sensor to the heat source
c. air flow past the sensor

That means that it is possible to see a 2 processor server with completely different thresholds for processor 2 than 1, even though they are the same processor model and spec. The sensor for each is in a different location.

Ok David..... Do the CPU temps I am seeing appear to be OK?

The reason that I ask is that I have a machine with a 1.99ghz CPU with a smaller heat sink fan combo running about the same temp. I know that it is a little on the high side for the 1.99ghz CPU.
