ML570 G2 Fan Issues
Hello,
I recently purchased an HP ML570 G2 server. It works great, but the only problem is that the fans run at full RPM ALL the time! It is in my office, and I can't use it because it sounds like there's a jet in my room. I have installed the Proliant Support Pack for it, but that didn't help at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sam

Re: ML570 G2 Fan Issues
Aren't there voltage regulators that you can use/buy to manually change the fan speed?
Did you look in BIOS?

Re: ML570 G2 Fan Issues
I had something similar start happening on a ML330 G6 not to long ago, though in my case it was just one fan header that ran whatever was attached at full speed. Even though it was bought second hand for testing it was still under warranty and one motherboard swap later all was good idea.
So yeah, hardware issues are a possibility. Is the BIOS reporting correct temperatures? BIOS/firmware up to date?
