ML570 G4 unexplained lockups
We have 2 ML570 G4s in a cluster running MS Server 2003 Enterprise Edition (32 bit) & SQL. They each have 4 processors and 4 GB ram. They each have the same security updates, bios versions, drivers, etc. One is fine, the other locks up seemingly randomly. Yesterday it locked up when sorting the error log. No memory dump, locks up hard without even a blue screen. No error messages. The internal processor health leds are amber for all four while locked up. The memory leds are green. Today it locked up while running the HP Insight Diagnostics. Same symptoms. We have tried replacing the network card, drivers etc, but the problem returns. One thing I did notice was in the HP Insight Diagnostics when selecting Advanced and Memory only show the first DIMM in detailed information, it does not show information on the other three DIMMs on the card (each are 1024 MB).
Any ideas?

Re: ML570 G4 unexplained lockups
I will add that the Insight Display LCD (internal) displays the code "50" which is not listed in the user manual. Also while locked up the front panel internal health light is solid amber. The manual only lists issues that have flashing amber front panel internal health lights with amber processor lights.

Re: ML570 G4 unexplained lockups
We will try that. Thank you.
Still wondering what the Code 50 on the motherboard means. Anyone have any idea?
