ML570G3 Memory Configuration Option
Has anyone experience of configuring memory option of this model? I'm interesting about 389356-B21 HP CTO ML570 RAID Memory option. What is it? I need to configure 32GB of AVAILABLE memory with protection. If I'll select HP RAID Memory with 48GB (12*(2*2SR)GB DIMM), this option MUST HAVE?
Thanks for any advice.

Re: ML570G3 Memory Configuration Option
Hi Ruslan,
where did you get that part number? I can't find it anywhere in Product Bulletin.
You will need 3 extra memory boards (348107-B21) and then fill them all with 2GB SR DIMMs (including replacing the memory that comes as standard with the server), for a total of 48GB, with 25% for RAID overhead (12GB). Leaving you 36GB for use by OS. Don't see how you can get exactly 32GB available as all 4 boards must have the same amount of memory. Replacing 2x 2GB DIMMs on each board with 1GB DIMMs would give you 40GB total, 30GB available.
Regards,
Stephen

Re: ML570G3 Memory Configuration Option
Thanks for replay Stephen. I got this number via HP Enteprise Configurator when select MEMORY option menu... I was suprised with this unknown option :)
