ML570G4 Applying settings hang
We have a proliant ml570 g4 running windows 2003r2 and exchange 2003 sp2. It has nic redundancy enabled for the 2 onboard ports. When we have to reboot this machine it gets to "applying computer settings..." and does nothing more. The only way to get around the problem is to shutdown the machine and unplug both nics. Wait for the log in screen and plug the nics back in. This server is connected to a HP Procurve 5308xl chassis with a 1000GBIT blade. Was there a subsequent driver update since august '06 that would cure this problem?

Re: ML570G4 Applying settings hang
Hi Seth,
There is a newer driver available.
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/26385.html
See the "revision history" link for background on the driver changes.
HP has also released new firmware for the NC371i embedded controller (Used in ML570G4) dated November 06. There is no mention of what it fixes in the "revision history" section however.

I hope this helps.
Brian
