Hello,
i was gonna install MS windows server 2008 hyper-v on one of our hp proliant DL380 G4. as you know Intel VT and XD need to be enabled in BIOS. However i could not see these settings in BIOS of the server. Does this server support hyper-v? should i update the BIOS to get these setting?
please advise.

It is not listed as supported there or on Microsoft's website.

Re: MS Hyper-v on DL380 G4
The problem there is that the CPUs on the DL380 G4 don't have VT support. I think you need the Intel 5xxx series processors for VT support, and the G4 series servers are just using the older Xeon CPUs.
The G5 Proliants were the first to have the 5100-5400 processors, and the G6 has support for the 5500 CPU's.
On the AMD side, I'm not as sure about that since I prefer to stick with Intel chips, but I think it's pretty much the same. For VT you need at least a G5 series Proliant.
