MSA1500/DL-580 SmartStart Install Hang
We just blew out our DL-580 and got it to boot off of the SAN and installed Windows 2003 R2 Enterprise. But now when we try to install the SmartStart v7.9 it hangs on Step 2 and really not sure what is causing the issue.

Re: MSA1500/DL-580 SmartStart Install Hang
Are you installing the PSP in the OS from Smart Start, or are you trying to install os from smart start? I see you already installed os, so it must the first one, so what is your HBA/SAN setup (dual/single path)? If it is multipath and no mpio is installed, the new psp setup wizard might get confused while scanning the devices.

Re: MSA1500/DL-580 SmartStart Install Hang
Well the SAN is multi-path'd into the switches but we're actually trying to install the PSP onto our 580 which is booting off the SAN. So the 580's C: drive is actually a partition on the SAN and the 580 is only single-path'd into the switch. Hope that answers your question.
We do have dual copper cards in the 580 though and were able to install v7.8 and got them teamed. Not sure if 7.9 is really needed but it would be nice to have the newest version.
