MacAddress, how to?

I had to replace the motherboard of a server hp proliant ML330 G4 with a new one, but I have a big problem, I need to know the MAC address of the network interface of the old MB, how do I?

Old MB not work, can HP tell me mac address from serial  ?

Re: MacAddress, how to?

IMHO you should find a sticker on the board.

Hope this helps!

I know the G1, G2, G3 and G6, but I'm not aware of a G4.

Hope this helps!

Re: MacAddress, how to?

I'm with you Torsten, I don't think there was an ML330 G4. The closest I see is the ML350 G4. I think all the G3 and G4 systems used the RILOE II option card.

Re: MacAddress, how to?

May I ask why you need the MAC address?

Maybe you can find something in the switch logs for example? Or in the arp cache of another system (do "arp -a" and search the ip address)?

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
