Machine is missing files after drive clone
I don't know if you can help with this one but I am having big problems with 4 new DL580's we have just purchased.
We use Symantec Ghost to rebuild our servers on a regular basis. I have just built a fresh image on one of our DL580's (Using intergrated array controller, 2 x 18.2Disks, 4 procs, 2GB RAM) and ghosted the image to one of the new machines. When the new machine boots, after the boot.ini has run and I have selected Windows terminal server, I get a message saying "C_1252.nls is missing or corrupt".
We have used this method for all our other 16 terminal servers with no problem up till now..
I think this is a Compaq rather than Symantec problem.
HELP!!
Regards
Richard

Re: Machine is missing files after drive clone
this is a software issue with ghost not a compaq issue....if anything it might be that ghost doesnt properly recognize the eisa partition on the harddrives. Ghost however is not supported by compaq unless through a software contract. I would suggest trying a regular install if the problem does not occur then it is ghost that has the issue..
