Max processor for Compaq Proliant 1600

I have a Compaq Proliant 1600 tower server with one slot Pentium II 350 MHz processor. The dual system board part number is 313622-001. I'm wondering what is the biggest processor I can put in the server without having to update any other parts.

The same Processor Board is used between the Pentium II 350, 400, and 450MHz Processors and the Pentium III 500, 550, and 600MHz Processors.

If I got a Pentium III 600, would I need additional cooling for the processors? Also, there are Bus/Core Ratio settings that are listed for 350/400/450 MHz, what do I set them to if I get a PIII 550/600?

When upgrading from a Pentium III 550MHz or slower processor to a Pentium III 600MHz , it is required to install the Thermal Upgrade Kit, P/N: 144003-B22, before installing the 550MHz Processor. Failure to install this kit when upgrading may cause damage to the server and will void the warranty.

For Bus/Core Ratio settings please see the above attachment.

All processors still require specific Processor Power Modules, PPMs

i dont think you require any additional cooling

The processor board is same for all Pentium II 350MHz to Pentium III 600MHz part number 313622-001.

what is part number of your system board?
