Re: Maximal disk size supported on DL380 G5 under Linux ?

Hello

Try this link: http://www.novell.com/documentation/suse91/suselinux-adminguide/html/apas04.html#tab:maxsize

these values are for kernel version 2.4
AFAIK, kernel 2.6 especially on 64bit systems can support much bigger filesystems.

Thanks Marek.
However, I asked about disk sizes, not file system sizes.

Re: Maximal disk size supported on DL380 G5 under Linux ?

Hi

I'm a bit confused confused. What do you mean by disk size? A logical volume size created by RAID controller, or maxium size of a physical HDD installed in the server?

Anyway the biggest HDD you can install in a DL380 G5 is currently 146GB 2.5 SFF HDD. And Smart Array controllers have a limit of 2TB per logical drive. Maximum internal storage raw capacity for DL380 G5 is 1.168TB (8 x 146GB)
