My ML350p G8 currently has a 512GB FBWC module. According to official HPE documentation I can change this module for a 1GB and 2GB module. I've also seen 4GB modules. Were these released later for the G9 servers? Would a 4GB module be recognized by the ML350p and properly utilized? I also wonder if this 4GB module would work the Smart Array controllers when installed in the ML350p.
Thanks!
Boris

SolutionGreetings!
I am assuming your query is in regards to the default storage controller P420i. If that is the case then you can install upto 2GB FBWC module. 4GB is not supported.
Please refer "Optional Upgrades" on the web-link below:

Re: Maximum size of FBWC module for ML350p G8?
@BPSinghYep, that answered it for me!
Say ... while I have your attention ... how about upgrading the 2GB module in a P430 to 4GB? Will the controller card work with it?
(You can tell I like to push the limits, yes?)
Thanks!

Re: Maximum size of FBWC module for ML350p G8?
Greetings!
HPE Smart Array P430 Controller will support 2GB FBWC.

Unfortunately 4GB FBWC option isn't available for this controller.
