Maximum storage ML115G5

I have a ML115G5 and I would like to know what the maximum storage capacity of this machine is. The specs say 3TB and I was wondering if this was limited by the size of drives available. I was hoping to instal 4 1TB drives.

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance

Re: Maximum storage ML115G5

Hello,
so according to the latest Hp QuickSpecs version for this machine ML115G5 we have:

Internal Drive Support:
4 HDD Support
- Internal SAS storage capacity of up to 1.8TB (4 x 450GB 3.5" SAS drives)
- Internal SATA storage capacity of up to 3.0TB (4 x 750GB 3.5" SATA drives)

This are drives actually present as installable (no way for 1Tb drives):

Re: Maximum storage ML115G5

However in practice it has a standard MCP5 SATA controller so will work with practically any SATA drive.

I say 'practically any' as I have found issues with this machine with certain Seagate drives (even HP stickered Seagate's) - but have never had issue with Western Digitial Caviar and RE(2/3) drives.

Furthermore I can advise that WD's 1TB Caviar GP drives behave.
