Did you use the latest memory config tool?

What kind of DIMMs do you have and how many?

Have you tried installing fewer DIMMs and does the server accept them?

Is the problem really in the memory or is there something else causing the beeping. I know you mentioned "wrong memory config" but verify the beeping codes as well.

I don't see how you would end up with 20GB using the memory installation rules for this server.

Take a look at the memory section here.

Have you looked at the memory URL above, SECOND table and tried to install the memory in DIMM slots A,B,C,D,E? That is install in slot numbers 3,6,9,2,5 for both memory banks.

Please ensure you are now mixing UDIMMs and RDIMMs.

Re: Memory Congif for DL380 G6 for 20GB Ram

500202-061 = 501533-001 = PC3-10600 (DDR3-1333) 2-GB (RoHS) = RDIMM dual rank.

check DDR3 memory population guidelines

note: restore defaults to server to make sure you have not selected an AMP mode.

yo should have a,b,c,d,e populated on each processor side.
