Memory Module diagnostics on DL380
I am having a problem with my memory on my DL380. My status for my memory module is showing degraded. My server warrentry is expired. How can I run diagnostics on this mem mod to find out what the problem is?

Re: Memory Module diagnostics on DL380
Usually that state means that me DIMM has been experiencing too many errors. The server DIMMs are ECC, so they can correct single bit errors, but above a certain threshold, they server agents generate an alert.
You can check in server IML if you see a message like:
Corrected Memory Error threshold exceeded (System Memory, Memory Module 4),

Re: Memory Module diagnostics on DL380
hi
vcespon is correct
check IML for any message also if you can physically check the server looking for any amber light next to memory modules if that is the case swap the memory module to another slot in that way find out which component is failing (don't worry most of the time only reseating or swapping memory modules fix the amber light)
I dont know which Dl380 you have but in case you have Dl380 G4 I recommend you update the System ROM some Dl380 G4 report errors but they just need update System ROM
regards
