Memory configuration in DL380 G8

If I have 2 processors 2620 in DL380 G8 can I use 3 modules of ram or it has to be in pair? Does the processor model can affect the configuration or not? I mean if stronger processors can accept unbalancing?

Hi,

I guess you are referring to ProLiant DL380p Gen8 with Intel Xeon E5-2620 (2.0 GHz/6-core) processor.

DIMMs has to be in pairs.

When two processors are installed, balance the DIMMs across two processors.

Processor model or stronger processor does not accept unbalancing or DIMMs.
