Memory errors reported after carepaq upgrade

I have just applied the latest carepaq to the Proliant ML350 that I have at work, and in the event viewer under Windows 2000 SP3, all service packs and hotfixes applied, I get the following error on startup.
Event ID:1071
Correctable memory error detected.
The errors have been corrected, but the module should be replaced.
Could this be due to some error in the software, or is it worth placing a call to compaq for support to come and replace the memory.

Thanks,

Re: Memory errors reported after carepaq upgrade

Hello Lee,
I have seen this before. It's a false message so do not replace the Hardware. Here is the resolution:
). Ignore the error (Do NOT replace hardware. The memory and system board are not broken)

or

2). Disable the System Information Agent

or

3) Downgrade the HP management agents to vs. 6.2 or earlier.

Re: Memory errors reported after carepaq upgrade

Hi I have a similar error.

Insight Manager 7.0 Reports in the integrated log:

1 POST Error: A Critical Error occurred prior to this power-up

2 ASR Detected by System ROM 2/10/2004

3 Uncorrectable Memory Error (System Memory, Memory Module 3)

The system has restarted due to this error as well.

In Windows event viewer it says that I should replace the memory board as well, I am running Windows 2000 SP4 and Management Agents V7.0.

Any help would be appreciated...

Thanks
