Merging 2 controllers in one (Logically)

I have ProLiant ML370 G5 server.
1. 300 GB with 10K x 8 HDDS on Smart Array 5i Plus Controller.
2. 300 GB with 10K x 8 HDDS on Smart Array 5i Plus Controller.
So total 16HDDs on two different controllers.
How I can merge 2 controller as one to have all 16 HDDs on it.
Please reply if anyone have idea?

You can not. The two controllers are separate independent sybsystems. What is it that you are trying to achieve?

Hello,

you can merge two logical drives to one logical drive. What you can do is to stripe or concate this two logical drives under you operating system.

Hi TTr
I can do that merging 1 array controller into the other one but I don't know how to do that. It is required by the ownership.

Hello,

you can't merge those two logical drives to one drive, so that it seems to by one logical drive for the operating system. What you can do use a logical volume manager running under your OS to build one disk out of this two logical drives. There is no other way to solve your problem. The controller can't do this for you.
