I have seen this happening on our dell servers here but for HP servers for battery charge low not sure if there is any utility to recharge the battery or will hp need to replace the array controller.
HP site suggest that the batteries get re-charged

If the batteries dont hold charge then I think you need to contact HP
Also applying the latest ROMPAQ may help

SolutionI'm not sure of the Redhat interface - but if it has an Array Config Util - you could go in there to determine if there actually is something weird going on.
