We recently got a DL380 G4 which I am using to replace a DL380 G3, When I take the mirror 36 gb hardrives from the DL380 G3 and installed on the DL 380 G4, the OS ( Windows 2003 standard ) seems to start but then it blue screens with a Stop 0x7F Message.
Before I migrated the mirror drives, I had installed the latest drivers on the OS ( from the 7.2 ) CD. I got a feeling it is because the smart array 5i to 6i transition. but according to the 6i documentation it should be backward compatible. Any sugesstions besides reinstalling W2K3?

Re: Migrate from a DLl380 G3 to a DLl380 G4
If registry for you terrified step use additional Controller 641, 642 or 6402 to migrate firstly from 5i than to 6i
