Migrating from Raid 0 to Raid 1 or Raid 5 on a 641 Smart Array
Busy messing around with a Proliant ML350 which contains a Smart Array 641.
Would like to know if its possible to install Windows Server on a Raid 0 then upgrade/migrate the Raid 0 to 1 or 5?
And if you have a Raid 0 or 1, is it possible to make a copy of the hdd (using ghost) to another hdd?
Please send me any helpful information.
Tried looking it up on the HP site but didn't have any luck.
Best regards.
Johnny

Re: Migrating from Raid 0 to Raid 1 or Raid 5 on a 641 Smart Array
Hi Johny,
Sa-641 support online raid migration you can visit the following Link from HP which gives detailed information abt the controller specs.
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/proliantstorage/arraycontrollers/smartarray641/benefits.html
I am not sure abt the ghost part cause never heard ghost of a SCSI HDD.
See if the above info helps You.

Anand Baghel
