Missing Base System Device
I recently reimaged my ML350 G4 from Windows 2003 Standard to 2008 Standard. Everything loaded correctly and there are no issues listed in Device Manager. Yet whenever I do a restart I keep getting a request to load the Base System Device. No clue as to what it is looking for. There are no devices connected to the server or new hardware. I RDP to it w/o issue and I connect to it fine directly from the KVM it is attached to. Has anyone seen this before, and if so, what is the fix for it?

Re: Missing Base System Device
This may help:
http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/Windows-Server-2003/Base-System-Device-Drivers/td-p/4242368#.UhOANz8t2LM
most likely the ILO driver is missing.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Missing Base System Device
Double check that the ILO2 is enabled in the bios, sometimes they can show as disabled in there but windows still sees some of the hardware but the driver cant load properly.
