Missing NIC's in vmware ESXi 5.5 (HP Proliant DL380 G7)

Hello,

I have two identical proliant DL380 G7. Both are running vmware ESXi 5.5.

Both servers have the same two networks cards. One Intel NC360T PCI Express Dual Port and one Broadcom NC382i Integrated Quad Port

The problem is that one of the servern cant see all the nics on the NC382i card. It sould be four, but I can only see two.

Nic2 and Nic3 is missing. I cant add them to the virtual switch either, they just arent there. On the other server I can see all the cards.

I have also updated the NIC firmware on the server, but that didnt help.

Anyone have any ideas?

Have you looked at the ILO hardware status?

Are you using HP ESX iso? is this a production enviroment? try to swap cards between both servers and see if the issue from NIC itself or the OS.

You may try this if you haven't fixed it already.

Execute following commands on ESXi 5.5 and reboot the server, this will recognize all 8 NICs.
esxcli system module set --enabled=false --module=elxnet
esxcli system module set --enabled=true --module=be2net

See if that Allows them to work.
