Mix CPU's in DL580G4?
We just purchased a DL580G4 with two 7130M's equipted. We asked for two additionals CPU's. Our supplier shipped two additional 7030 kits. Can we mix two 7130M's and two 7030's in the 580G4? Or is this not smart to do and should we get them replaced by two additional 7130M?
Thanks!

Re: Mix CPU's in DL580G4?
Thats a STRICT no no !!
This server will support :
Dual-Core 64-bit Intel├В┬о Xeon├в ┬в 7140M Processor (3.40 GHz, 150Watts, 800MHz FSB)
Dual-Core 64-bit Intel├В┬о Xeon├в ┬в 7130M Processor (3.20 GHz, 150 Watts, 800MHz FSB)
Dual-Core 64-bit Intel├В┬о Xeon├в ┬в 7120M Processor (3.00 GHz, 95 Watts, 800MHz FSB)
Dual-Core 64-bit Intel├В┬о Xeon├в ┬в 7110M Processor (2.60 GHz, 95 Watts, 800MHz FSB)
Dual-Core 64-bit Intel├В┬о Xeon├в ┬в 7041 Processor (3.00 GHz, 165 Watts, 800MHz FSB)
Dual-Core 64-bit Intel├В┬о Xeon├в ┬в 7030 Processor (2.80 GHz, 165 Watts, 800MHz FSB)
As you can see:
7130 are 3.2 Ghz &
7030 are 2.8 Ghz
This wont work; get those 7030 replaced;

Re: Mix CPU's in DL580G4?
I was affraid that was the answer..
Strange that the reseller shipped this stuff..
Is the "ProLiant DL580 Generation 4 Server User Guide" still somewhere on-line? The link on the HP site fails at the moment..
Thanks again!
