Mixing single and dual port drives

I have a ML330 with a P410 controller, currently it has two 300gb SAS drives of type ST3300657SS which are dual port, Ive been offered some drives of type ST3300655SS which i believe are single port so my question is, is it ok to add these drives to my RAID array ?

Re: Mixing single and dual port drives

check this QuickSpecs for the P410, you can find all HDD that you can use

to add HDD to Array you need that P410 have Cache and battery

Re: Mixing single and dual port drives

You can mix single and dual port drives. If the system was in fact able to use dual port mode, when a single port drive is added into the mix there may be an impact on performance.

Thanks, so I'm safe in assuming that RAID will always dumb down to the smallest and slowest drive in the set ?
