Ml310 + SBS 2008 SATA issue

Hi there,

We have received delivery of a new server due for roll out with our supplier Friday. We have one issue. We have created a RAID one array of the two hot swappable hdds and created the logical partitions with the HP utility (F8).

However, on loading the HP server start CD, it informs us that the config is not supported.

If we boot from the HP/MS Windows SBS 2008 premium DVD, it cannot see the controller and prompts for the drivers, which we cannot locate.

Can any one please advise. Is it a case of rebooting, removing the array, set up sofware and re-create the array?

Hello George,

When you tried to configure the server using the Smart Start CD, you were prompted with an error message, it indicates some problem with your RAID configuration, I would suggest you configure the RAID, using the Array Configuration utility built in into the Smart Start CD. You can delete the current RAID configuration and recreate it.
