Ml350 G5 Best Raid Config

I have been using a p400/256 raid card in most all of our setups for SBS2003
We setup 2 logical drives on the p400 2/146GB 15k (Raid 1) for the nos and 4 146GB 15k for data (Raid 1+0)

Looking at a server on my bench..i just asked myself this...

Why am i not using the on board SCSI controller for at least the OS Raid 1?

So my question is this..
1) Can i use the e200i on board just for the RAID 1 OS set (it looks like one of the cables from the cage is only for 2 drives)
2) Would this provide better performance in using two different RAID interfaces on this HP.
(my guess would be yes)
