Monitor HDDs and install Spp on HyperV Core

Hello everyone,

I need a few tips. I have ProLiant ML310 G8 server that I need to prepare for end user, and I'm having lots of problems found on a way to do that.

Main goal is to Install Windows HyperV Server 2012 r2 (free version is a "must"), convert old physical machine to virtual and monitor physical harddrives.

So, my first problem is I keep getting error "Setup cannot continue due to a corrupted installation file. Contact the vendor of your Windows installation disc or your system administrator for assistance" at the end of the OS installation. I did try to install OS from 2 different DVD's and usb also. I did install OS on other computer with same image and it was successful.

I have 4x2TB Seagate hdds configured as Raid10, (on Dynamic Smart Array B120i controller)  and all CPU features for virtualization are ON.

Second is my main question actually. How can I monitor physical hard drives? And my goal is to configure warning and error alerts to be send to my email. I know that I can open ACU and look for status, but I do need to be alerted instead.

The last question is can I install HP SPP on Windows Hyper-V Server 2012 R2 Core?

Please advice.

Best Regards,

Aleksandar
