Monitoring HPE ProLiant MicroServer Gen10 server's hardware

Hello,

I'm getting troubles for supervising hardware of a 'HPE ProLiant MicroServer Gen10' Server with Paessler PRTG solution. The microserver model does not have any ILO interface, whereas Paessler support asks me to target the ILO in order to monitor the server's hardware.

I'm then looking for MIB files in order to target specific OIDs for hardware monitoring.

So far, I have downloaded the 'HPE Systems Insight Manager - MIB Kit' but I'm getting completely lost among MIB files. SNMP is well configured on the server VMware OS - 6.7.0 Update 1 (Build 11675023) and both SNMP and CIM services (snmpd, sfcbd-watchdog) are running. I have tried to restart both services without success.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Re: Query: Monitoring HPE ProLiant MicroServer Gen10 server's hardware

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

The microserver is this reference (different from the links you suggested).

The links provided in your post suggest to use ILO for hardware monitoring, so it does not answer my problematic, unfortunately.

Re: Query: Monitoring HPE ProLiant MicroServer Gen10 server's hardware

Hi Thomas,

MIB's are used to translate Raw SNMP trap data sent from ILO

Since for Micro server Gen10, we do not have a Management Processor to Monitor from any H/W monitoring tool.
hence installing MIB's will also not work as it will not have any Data to translate.

you can check and Monitor at OS level.

Regards.
