Monitoring Hardware status on servers

Hi,

Does anyone know how to monitor the hardware status of a HP DL servers without actually installing ACU, System Mgmt homepage, HIM etc utilities?. We have a tool to report any errors logged in event viewer of a server and we actively monitor them and act. We would like to know if there is a way where we can allow HP warnings and error be logged to Windows event viewer so that we can use our existing monitoring setup for monitoring hardware health.

Thanks but that needs SNMP configuration etc right?. Isn't there a simple way to do it?. Also HP System Management Homepage doesn't show any info if agents aren't installed. Expected?

Hi,

This looks cool, i could get storage, network and processor info in system mgmt homepage. How about other parts like System info, serial number, memory, PCI slots etc?

I know WBEM has less information that insight agents and SNMP but I have not gone that deep reading WBEM agents

so I think both of us have to read some PDFs
