Monitoring of Physical drive health via SNMP
Hello,
I am having issues on multiple HPE standalone servers trying to setup monitoring of physical disk health through SNMP. We use SolarWinds RMM system and I'm able to monitor other physical components on the servers without issue (e.g. Fan, Power supply, etc.) but Physical drive health keeps saying "No asset information available"
I opened a support case with SolarWinds and found that in order for the agent to monitor Physical Drive (HP) Service the following OID's need to be present:
Physical Drive (HP)
1.3.6.1.4.1.232.3.2.5.1.1.2
Physical Drive State
1.3.6.1.4.1.232.3.2.5.1.1.6
Physical Drive State Description
1.3.6.1.4.1.232.3.2.5.1.1.6
Model
1.3.6.1.4.1.232.3.2.5.1.1.3
The model name and/or number of the physical drive.
Serial Number
1.3.6.1.4.1.232.3.2.5.1.1.51
The serial number of the physical drive.
Drive Bay
1.3.6.1.4.1.232.3.2.5.1.1.5
I did an snmpwalk and didn't find these OIDs. I've installed the full HPE SIM 7.6, WBEM providers, iLO 3/4 Channel Interface Driver, iLO 3/4 Management Controller Driver, and even imported the MIB kit v11.0 from HPE's website. Still not finding the correct OID.
Does anyone have ideas about how to get these OIDs on there?

Re: Monitoring of Physical drive health via SNMP
Hi,
I had the exact same issue as you have reported here. I was using the Microsoft provided drivers and until I downloaded the HP drivers from the website, installed and rebooted I was unable to see the OIDs. Once the controller was running the correct driver all OIDs were available in SNMP.
