Re: Mount a Main HP SAS drive and a Raid5 with common Sata Disks
Karlo is right that you can't mix them in same logical drive, but you don't want to, so you can do this - one RAID5 with SATA HDDs for data and OS on separate log drive

Re: Mount a Main HP SAS drive and a Raid5 with common Sata Disks
I have another doubt... I have seen that the model I want comes with a tower, does it come with both 2.5 and 3.5 boxdisks, the model I am interesting is ML 350G5 458246-421, it seems that just cames with 2.5 boxes... I need this tower but with 3.5 hd-boxes...
- does it come with both 2.5 and 3.5?
- if so not... could I order the tower with 3.5 box?

Re: Mount a Main HP SAS drive and a Raid5 with common Sata Disks
well SFF is your decision...
usually recommendation is RAID 1 for OS and RAID 5 for DATA.
But it is OK if you considerer that reinstalling your OS it is not difficult an you have your backup up to date you can use RAID 0 for your OS.
as you saw in another thread there are SFF models and LFF models and cages can not be mixed.
about your Seagate / another HDD brand it is up to you they can work they can not
