Moving Array from P410i to P400i

Hello,

We are putting in new DL380 G7's for a customer running ESX 4.1 but we want to be able to keep the older G5 chassis as a hardware backup.

I am looking to see if we picked up th 6 disk RAID5 from the 410, containing the VM Datastore, and dropped them into the 400 then would the array import and we could attach that datastore into the ESX on the G5.

I realise the 400 is a 3Gb controller and disks will drop to that speed etc but really want to know if this is a feasible "last resort" type of recovery in the event of a board failure etc on the G7.
