Moving Disks from a 3000 to an 1850
I currently have a Compaq 3000 with 3 universal hot swap disks in a RAID configuration. Due to space limitations, I need to move to an 1850R. I have purchased a used 1850 that takes the same hot swap disks.
What would happen if I powered down the 3000, moved the RAID controller and the disks to the 1850R, and then powered up the 1850R? Is there any chance Windows 2000 would deal with the different machine, or am I asking for big trouble?
Thanks,
Paul

Re: Moving Disks from a 3000 to an 1850
Dear Paul,
You shouldn't have any problems doing this. Just make sure you clear the NVRAM before moving all HW to the 1850R. Go into the F10 partition and let it auto-configure and say NO to the backup SCI file.
