Moving Hard Disk's from one BL465C to another, maintaining Array Configuration and data on disk's

We will try to replace the existing server because we beleave we have a hardware problem.

What steps are necessary to move the Hard disk's from one server to another identical server?

Do something have to be done in the array confiugruation or is the configuration read from the disk's?

hi John Myren

nothing really special just be sure that firmware for both controller are identical I mean same version after that turn off both servers and swap HDDs

remember that RAID level information is ketp in the HDDs so as soon as you swap HDDs the other controller automatically is going to recognize RAID level

Hi John ,
BL465C server has 2 hdd slot only
as Karlo told it's true but second very important thing is that in off line mode
you have to swap the hdd , put the hdd in same bay as it was in earlier stage means swap it
from server no1 bay no1 to server no2 bay no1
similarly for second hdd
you will be retaining you o/s and data as well
