Re: Moving data on SAS HDD
Hello NKgilles,
normally the supported backup solution depends on the server model. If the disks are still functional and in RAID 1, you can try replacing them one after the other, when the reguild finishes.
If the HDDs are already marked as failed and you cannot re-enable them in the smart storage administrator, then there is no way from HPE to access the data.

Re: Moving data on SAS HDD
Hello AleksandraIsa
so it is not possible to recover it on a machibe via a SAS adapter? unfortunately I do not have a spare disk and my services are no longer working. Raid 1 contained 3 disks. two are down and the virtual machines that have their data on it do not work anymore

Re: Moving data on SAS HDD
H─░ @NKgilles
logical volume may be disabled.
Do you get press message for F1 or F2 key on the post screen?
Press F2 will open the system.
If the above step is not appropriate.
Open the server with the bootable linux cd and backup the data in it.
re-create the raid and install the operating system then restore your backups.
Erdogan.

Re: Moving data on SAS HDD
Hi,
What is your RAID configuration
RAID 1 (mirroring) requires min and max of 2 hard drives. 3 Hard drives will be required if you are configuring RAID 1 + online spare.
The comments in this post are my own and do not represent an official reply from the company
