My HP Proliant ML350 shutdowns unexpectedly.

Dear all,

My HP Proliant ML350 shutdown unexpectedly and I am restarting the server 3 or 5 times a day. What should I do? I can't to find the problem. Help me.

Thank you

Any other details? What generation ML350 is it? What OS? What's the server doing when it shuts down (hard reset, blue screen, etc)?

Any errors logged in the IML to help? Any flashing or amber lights on the server front?

Thank you for your reply.

It is G5. Windows Server 2003. No error message. No blue screen. The lightining symbol blinks red light. But there is a Virtual Memory Low message when Windows started.

Thank you

Re: My HP Proliant ML350 shutdowns unexpectedly.

Does the IML log show any events?

I'm not sure what the "lightning" symbol is but it seems like a hardware error that should have logged an event in the IML. Could be some bad memory or something like that so you just need to check the hardware log and/or see if the status lights on the front of the server indicate any particular thing that has a problem.
