My server could not boot
I am not sure exactly what type it is.
Here are the info for this server
It is the Compaq Proliant Series 4070. The comfiguation is different than the Series 3000. The number 3, hot plug dry cage is on oneside to left only and has 6 slots, then 2 optional 5.25 inch disc drive(optional non working), then (1) 5.25 disc drive, (1) 3.5 disc drive and power button to top right.
Below is what I see after boot
compaq system bios p08(7/14/1999)
copyright 1982, 1999 compaq computer corportation. all rights reserved.
processor initalized at 500 mhz with 512 kbyte cache
1611-i/o Fan Failure detected
601-Diskette Controller error
slot 1 Compaq Smart array 3200 Controller Initializing
On the side label "Compaq Series 4070"
Scanning for SCSI Devices... No SCSI Devices Detected
Press "F1" key to continue
"F10" key for System Partition Utilities
What should I do to fix it?

Re: My server could not boot
Hi,
server seems to be
Pl 1600 accourding to bios p08
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/winroms.html
---------------------------------------------
For error message :
Problem Description
Receiving 1611 POST error after cpu initializes with warning that system will shut down.
Cause
The CPU fan cable is connected to wrong 4 pin connector (beside the DIMM slots) on CPU board. It needs to be connected to the 4 pin connector beside the 2nd CPU slot.
Resolution/Workaround
Reconnect the CPU fan cable to 4 pin connector beside 2nd CPU slot.
------------------------------------------
error 601
can be due to Compaq 32-Bit Fast-SCSI-2 controllers . The ROM was a physical socketed chip located near the EISA edge connector. Please check If the chip had part number 142090-001 or 142090-002.
REgards,
Prashant S.
