NC375i's in DL580G7 report "There is a problem with the hardware."

Windows Server 2008 evenlog reports event 514 and in the text of the error says, "PROBLEM:  Hardware Error."

In fact when I run ncpa.cpl, the dialog comes up completely empty.

Should I believe the error?  I have reseated the card and changed nothing.  Perhaps there is a bios setting that could correct this?

The driver you recommend is the one that I had loaded.  When I examine its properties in the device manager, the date shown is 1/27/2011 and the version reported, 4.3.2.127, which doesn't agree with the September 4, 2012 date listed in the HP download dialog for the Quallogic x64 driver.

After I wrote the forum, an even later driver was installed by another staff member, and that produced no change, either.  This driver was dated, when examined in Device Manager, 5/25/2012.  So, I suppose its actual date of birth is as reported, about a year and a half later than the other driver.

It just happens that my company bought two of the same machine:  the HP DL580 G7.   So, in order to check that there was a hardware problem with the board that controlled the hard disks and contained the NIC's and the KVM circuitry, it was put in the known good machine.  The problem persisted.  The board was returned to HP and RMA'd. 

The new board produced the same problem.  I must now test the replacement board in the good machine.
