NC382i Adapters losing RDP Connections & Pings
We have a HP ProLiant DL380 G6 server with 2 Dual HP NC382i Adapters. Connections to this server via RDP and pings to these adapters drop out regularly. The network and the network hardware have been checked and ruled out and the switch ports have been swapped.
Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas what is causing this?
Thanks
Kenny

Re: NC382i Adapters losing RDP Connections & Pings
Windows 2003 or 2008? Microsoft has an issue with printers losing connection. Upgrade firmware, drivers and windows updates.

Re: NC382i Adapters losing RDP Connections & Pings
Sorry forgot to mention O/S.
O/S: Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise
Adapters: 2 x NC382i Dual Port Multi Function 1 Gigabit Server Adapters (Broadcom NetXtreme II) - iirc.
Research currently points to problem with these nics and/or the drivers.

Re: NC382i Adapters losing RDP Connections & Pings
If the server has Carepaq, replace the NICs. Did you upgrade the firmware and drivers? Did you install all the Windows updates?
