NC7782 driver for NT

Hello,
We have Proliant DL380 G2 running Windows NT server 4.0 SP6. I am moving that to DL380 G4. I have found the driver for Smart array 6i and I moved it to G4. Now everything is working fine except for NIC. I believe it is NC 7782 and there is no driver for it on hp site. I have no network !! Following link has no driver download, eventhough it says NT driver for NC7782
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/10789.html

Anyone can help finding the NIC driver for NT on DL380 G4 server

thanks
charles

Re: NC7782 driver for NT

Hi Charles,

I believe that the NC7782, like others before is based on the Broadcom NetXtreme chipsets. Broadcom have there own BCM57XX driver kits for Windows NT4 which should work fine with the NC7782.

http://www.broadcom.com/support/ethernet_nic/downloaddrivers.php

I hope this helps.

Re: NC7782 driver for NT

Hi Charles:

NT4.0 is not really supported on the DL380G4; but since it is working that is great.

the NC7782 - is a 10/100/1000 card.
it is also Broadcom nic card (Q57).

check to see if Broadcom has a driver for it if the HP drive is not working.

DL380 G2-NC3163 (intel)
DL380 G3-NC7781 (Broadcom)
DL380 G4-NC7782 (Broadcom) same driver as G3
-

- before moving the NT4.0 to new server did you run the primer utility ; to remove the nic cards and teaming utility from MS.

- ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/softpaq/sp21501-22000/

- Search and Download sp21818.exe from ftp site above. - this is the driver for the NC7781 - Should work for NC7782 - since driver said it is for NC77xx.

- Best regards,

tarek.
