NCU 10.10.0.0 and W2008 R2 and HP NC-Series Broadcom 1Gb

This combination:

HP NC-Series Broadcom 1Gb Multifunction Driver for Windows Server 2008 x64 Editions (5.2.22.0)
HP Network Configuration Utility for Windows Server 2008 R2 (10.10.0.0)

Makes the NCU utility crash when trying to access the properties on a nic team (created on NCU 10.0.0.0)

Anyone else noticed this?...

Hi Nicolai,

what is the server model?

thumb rule for this configuration is:
NCU and NIC driver should have the same release date.

disolve teaming,Remove NCU and restart the server
download the latest NIC driver and Remove NIC driver.
install the driver
Install the same release date NCU
disable side scaling and TOE from NIC property
team them again and check

hope this helps,
thanks,
Aftab

No I didn't, but thanks for pointing in the correct direction :)

It's nice to know that there's a fix. However, I do expect HP to release a proper version of the NCU. One that doesn't require a manual edit of the registry after upgrade, if that's not too much to ask :)

Workaround found. Expecting HP to release a new version of NCU to permanently fix this issue.

I am seeing the same error on my Proliant DL320 G6 servers. I updated the agents by downloading the support pack and running the install. I upgraded from version 9.7 to 10.0.0.0. If I look at the teaming properties via the systems management homepage I can see the teaming properties fine.
