NIC Description
HI all
I have just built up a DL380G3 server with windows 2003 server plug HP PSP 740, eveything works fine, but with one thing seems funny.
The network cable is plug into nic 1, but when type ipconfig /all, the nic description shows HP NC7781 Gigabit server adapter #2.
Am I doing something not correct? or is there a way to fix this? Thanks a lot

Re: NIC Description
hi,
i believe the DL380G3 has 2 NIC cards. r u very sure that u have plug in adapter #1 to #1 and not #2?
try swapping to confirm. also, ensure that u have not amended the description of the NICs.
regards.
