NIC Speed
I have 2 Compaq servers, 1x ML330 G3 and 1x ML370 G3. Both running Windows 2003. The NIC on both machines is incredibly slow. If we install a PCI NIC it works fine. We have updated firmware and the support pack but we still have the same problem.

Re: NIC Speed
I'd check NIC settings for speed and duplex and set them manually to correct values. They are probably on 'auto' and it can happen that this doesn't work properly.

Re: NIC Speed
Gotta check any switch settings as well - we've tracked a lot of strange connectivity problems down to port settings here. Switch defaults tend to be auto, and you need to explicitly disable negotiation.
A little knowledge is dangerous - none is absolutely terrifying!!!
