NIC-Teaming and Cisco Switches

Hello,
we are using the HP Network Configuration Utility on our Windows-based HP-Servers (360 G6) for Teaming NICs. A few days ago our Network-Admins told me that some network-ports have been disabled by Ciscos port security feature on the switch. They told me, the same MAC-Adress is assigned to two switch ports. Thats the way the NIC-teaming-software works. Is there a way to build a failover Network-Team (Load balancing is not important) with a configuration with the "original" MAC-Addresses from the NIC?
Kind regards,
Thomas

Re: NIC-Teaming and Cisco Switches

mikap,

thanks for your reply. I gave the informationen you provided to our Networking department. They told me that they do not support this Load-Balancing/Failover- Configuration and so i have to work with a non-redundant Network-config.
Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Thomas
