NIC Teaming under Terminal Server
Hi -
I have a 800mhz single processor DL360 installed with Windows NT 4.0 Terminal Server edition.
I can install both NICs via the 'Compaq Network' control panel util, but if I try to team them I get the error message:
'An error has occurred, unable to open the file cpqntac.exe' with the usual Ignore, Retry or Exit buttons.
This happens during the Binding Review operation.
Any ideas?
Regards,
Julian.

Re: NIC Teaming under Terminal Server
Delete one of the two NIC drivers, Restart, instal the NIC driver via NT Network control applet. Chose Have Disk and browse to the directory CPQSUPSW/NTSSD/NIC/INTELNIC. Depending on what versin of Smart Start you have. That will run the OEM installation and copy CPQNTAC correctly. Then team the drivers as normal.
I hope this helps and please keep me posted.

Re: NIC Teaming under Terminal Server
If you are running windows terminal services you must first configure the system to be in installation mode by issuing the command "change user /install" in a command line window. - Then run component pack / nic teaming install.
