NIC teaming & load balancing

I have an issue with the NIC teaming on my server. My setup:
- DL380 G6 (Windows 2008 R2 latest PSP) connected with 2 1Gb cables to HP Procurve 2510 switch.
- 2 ports are configured in 802.3ad LACP in NIC teaming software
- 2 ports are configured as a LACP trunk on the Procurve switch.
- In the NIC teaming software I see a 2Gb connection established.

Issue: when I start to copy files to another server on the same switch, the load is not distributed accross the 2 cables. I see only load on 1 of the 2 cables.

What do I need to do to activate load balancing?

Re: NIC teaming & load balancing

If the switch is configured correctly and supported LACP nothing else should be required besides what you have already done.

Any errors showing up in the event log in windows? Any event ID 461's regarding LACP failures?
The truth is out there, but I forgot the URL..

Re: NIC teaming & load balancing

hi
i think you need more than 2 servers in order to achieve that
algorithm of hashing is ip address source and destination also TCP/UDP ports
so with only 2 server (one source one destination)we can see only load on one port
