NIC teaming on DL380 G5, Win2003 Std Ed x32

I am having some issues getting the integrated Broadcom NICs (NC373i, Driver 3.4.10.0)to function while teamed. Prior to enabling teaming, both NICs function correctly (either with DHCP or static IP addresses). After running the HP Networking utility (v8.80.0.12), the virtual team adapter is created, but not functioning. Windows shows the individual NICs as enabled and connected, but they do not send or receive any packets. Windows shows the team adapter as "not connected" (either with DHCP or static IP address).
After restarting the HP Network Configuration Utility the previously built team isn't displayed anymore.

Any ideas?

Thank you!

Hi,

there are some known issues with TOE&RSS and this driver version and NCU version...

You can either update the drivers and use NCU 9.00, it will function

or

you can dissolve the team, go in every NIC Properties-> Advanced options and on TCP Offload Engine and Receive Side Scaling deactivate the Enabled checkbox(disable them).

Then you make a team again and disable the same options on the team.

This should fix the problem too, you decide

Re: NIC teaming on DL380 G5, Win2003 Std Ed x32

Hi,
Reinstall NCU, team the nics again - under teaming properties, do select the teaming type- NFT or TLB or SLB ( dont leave it at automatic) and select settings tab- disable TOE offload engine and RSS Scaling.
Apply the settings.
It should work fine.
